From the website today:

January 8, 2010, Santa Fe, NM—Gary Johnson, former Governor of New Mexico and Honorary Chairman of the OUR America Initiative, has been raising strong concerns about the current action in Washington to pass a health care bill and increase the already overwhelming federal deficit. “People all across this country are upset and rightly so. They are forming political groups, holding rallies and building a strong voice against the current economic policies in Washington,” stated Johnson. “I have to wonder, is anyone in Washington actually listening?”

Next week Governor Johnson will be traveling to Washington, DC in the first of several planned trips throughout the country. “We need to fix the economy and get this country moving again and that means job creation. The last thing we need is more deficit spending and the fear of a tax increase.”

Johnson, who has been talking with leading economic and policy analysts as well as addressing political groups says, “I am listening to what the country is saying. When I was Governor we held the line on government spending and that is exactly what Washington needs to do now.”
